Spot the Difference: C4RH, M4BQ, F4CCSS

It was in July 3 of 2011 when I wrote a blog with the title Spot the Difference[1]. Now I’m coming up with a new one with the same title. But, with a slightly different theme. Or not.

Before you spot the difference (if there ever is), try to answer first mentally what the abbreviations below could mean.

1.   C4RH

2.   M4BQ

3.   F4CCSS

If you’re a Filipino citizen who cares for your country and is updated with all the current news that the media is showing you, as well as the news and features that the media is not showing you, then you probably already know item number  1.

Oh, yes! C4RH stands for Catholics for Reproductive Health. And their tagline?I am a Catholic and I support the Reproductive Health (RH) Bill.

Let’s move forward now to the next abbreviation. M4BQ. Any idea? Wild guess? M4BQ means Muslims for Burning of Qur’an. An M4BQ could very well say, I am a Muslim and I support the Burning of a Qur’an”. Are you having any idea, now, where I am arriving at?

If not yet, then let’s give F4CCSS a try. Give it a try. Go on. Just 10 seconds. Think of what it could mean. F4CCSS. That would mean, brace yourself up, Filipinos for China’s Claim on Scarborough Shoal. Need I say more? F4CCSS’s tagline: I am a Filipino and I support China’s Claim on Scarborough Shoal.

After having identified the meanings of the three abovementioned abbreviations, we can now move on with the game. SPOT THE DIFFERENCE! I’ll give you 5 seconds. In the case that you cannot give an answer in 5 seconds, I’ll give you an eternity to think it over. In the case you give up, because there is no difference among the three, then never use again your Catholic identity while supporting the RH Bill, lest you might be branded an infidel or a traitor, for that matter.

A faithful Muslim cannot be in favor of the burning of the holy Qur’an[2]. A true Filipino cannot give his support to China in its claim on the Scarborough or Panatag Shoal (Bajo de Masinloc). A true and faithful Catholic cannot, in a similar manner, support the RH Bill! (Period)
