Mitos Magsaysay: Accomplishments

- Representative, 1st District of Zambales (for three terms)
- Most Outstanding Congressman for 5 consecutive years (2004-2009), and in 2011
- won landslide on her 1st term as an independent candidate
- dubbed as "Congresswoman Libre" because almost everything in her district is "Libre"
- called "The Feisty Dragon Lady of Zambales" for standing up to her ideals

On Health:
- put up Medical and District Offices in Olongapo City, Subic, Castillejo, and San Marcelino
- free medical services such as check-up; doctor's services everyday are free!
- free medicines for infants up to senior citizens including maintenance medicines (hypertension, diabetes, arthritis)
- free dental services such as tooth extraction
- free diagnostic laboratory including tests on blood, stool, urine, ECG, sugar and cholesterol
          [This is the first in the history of Congress, benefiting the public school teachers
            who are required by DepED to submit medical/laboratory tests. Mitos
            Magsaysay is the only congressman in the history of Congress with free
            diagnostic test laboratory duly accredited by the LTO, which is of tremendous
            help to public utility vehicle (jeepney, taxi, bus, tricycle) drivers in her district,
            who are required to submit tests in order to obtain their driver's licenses and
            open up their franchises]

On Education:
- free tuition free for college education, vocational education, and skills training
          [This is full scholarship for the less fortunate. Other congressmen provide
           Php500 or Php1000 assistance fund for their scholars. This is not enough
           to pay for the entire tuition of the student! Mitos Magsaysay covers the
           entire tuition fee from 1st year college!]
- free dormitory services for students who reside far from the state universities
- assistance fund for parents of high school and elementary students to cover up their PTCA fees including those in the poorest barangays

On Oil-Price Hike
- consistently reviewed the Oil Deregulation Law for nine years
